Program areas at Wintonbury Land Trust
Wintonbury Land Trust spent $9,800 on rebuilding the barn cupola on the Thrall property; spent $3,000 for trail repair work and $2,642 for 2 benches to improve the Town of Bloomfield LaSallette property; spent $3,722 for a manure shed removal and $531 for stone at the Hawk Hill Farm property.
Wintonbury Land Trust spent $4,608 in 2022 on general property stewardship. $2,880 was for invasive plant removal on our Hawk Hill property, $780 was for the removal of invasives on our Van Otterloo preserve, $665 was for fertizilation on our Stout Family Fields property and $283 was for miscellaneous maintenance and repairs.
Wintonbury Land Trust spent $8,425 in 2022 on regional land trust exploration. The Land Trust received a grant of $25,000 from the Peter & Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation (PCLB Foundation). With a regional land trust, we expect a broader, more regional approach to deepen our impact on land use planning, environmental problems, and wildlife habitats that cross town lines. $8,000 was for merger consultant representation and $425 was for the merger representation administrative fees.
