Program areas at Wings for Women and Families
Wings nurse-family partnership (nfp) empowers vulnerable first-time moms to transform their lives and create better futures for themselves and their babies. Nfp works by having specially trained nurses regularly visit young, first-time moms-to-be, starting early in the pregnancy and continuing through the child's second birthday. 325 Women and 244 babies received services in fy 21-22.
The wings coaching institute teaches practitioners to coach others on financial topics through dynamic, interactive coach training that combines fundamental coaching skills with strong financial content. The training helps coaches create a solid understanding of how they can use coaching skills and tools to work with clients to co-create positive change. Contracted through cnm ingenuity, inc, our training creates a pathway for coaches to become certified by cnm, icf or/and bcc. The past year, we provided training for 51 coaches in dallas, san antonio and austin.
Wings economic advancement empowers Women with the confidence and knowledge needed to make sound financial decisions. With the Support and accountability of a wings financial coach, Women develop smart goals to chart their path to financial growth. Clients can join any of our resiliency pathways aimed at personal finance, career growth, business finance and personal wellness. Outcomes show improvements in financial knowledge, savings, credit, debt and income. in fy 21-22 the program reached 667 participants.
