Whale Scout protects pacific northwest whales by organizing land-based conservation experiences. They restore salmon habitat along rivers and streams to benefit endangered orcas and improve water quality for the entire ecosystem. In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, Whale Scout had 2,123 volunteers who helped protect the whales. Out of these volunteers, 1,476 participated in habitat restoration activities and others were involved in education-focused activities. Additionally, Whale Scout planted 489 native plants and trees.
