Wellspring

First accomplishment Wellspring's academic & youth development program was provided to 277 youth.182 of these youth participated in the kumon math and reading curriculum as well as other youh development activities. There were 37 youth in a 6 week summer reading program. There were 95 youth who participated in non kumon development activities.for those youth participating in the kumon curiculum, a total of 190.5 grade level increases were produced. Thhe average student advanced 1.5 grade levels in math or reading/ language art skills over a 12- month period. A kumon grade level is approximately equvalent to a grade level in public school.38 student took part in college prep and/or career support.there were 11 field trips and special activities. The non kumon activities included a teen leadership council, teen pholanthropy, adventur based leadership,development, college and career readiness and support, field trips for youth and teens and community services. Christian programing was also provided to interested youth and consisted primarily of our teen bible tudy.
