Webber-Camden Neighborhood Organization fosters community development and involvement through its mission. Its youth program thrived, serving more than 125 young people. To address safety concerns in the community, a youth-generated safety survey was conducted with 150 community members, which resulted in the launch of the new Equity in Safety program. This program will reimburse community members for safety-related expenses.

Program areas at Webber-Camden Neighborhood Organization

In 2023, WCNO served over 200 young people with the Northside Leaders Program, Summer Program, community volunteering and events. We created a marketing plan which will be implemented this year to help small minority businesses. WCNO housing program is providing rehab oans and downpayment assistance to residents on a continuous basis and our business facade matching grant program is also widely used. WCNO Equity in Safety grants for residents to purchase safety items such as cameras, locks, alarms, etc. has served a number of people. The annual BBQ was a hit for young and old in its 3rd year.
