Washington Ireland Program for Service creates new opportunities for young people and emerging leaders of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Washington Ireland Program creating new opportunities for young people and emerging leaders of northern Ireland and the republic of Ireland who have grown up with the legacy of sectarian conflict. We provide training in citizen Leadership and human rights in order tolay a new foundation of civic culture built on active participation, justice, and respect. The Program provides eligible students with immersion in politics, professional life, and american culture. We emphasize community building through the study and practice of activelistening, dialogue, and conflict resolution in workshops and discussion groups.
