Talking songs (registered trademark):in april 2020, in just two weeks time, we successfully adapted our core program to a basic virtual delivery model that successfully met our students needs. Over the past year, Voices Together has gathered feedback from an array of sources across the state and beyond serving individuals with neurodiversity and/ or intellectual/developmental disabilities, who affirm that those they serve are in dire need of online resources that are interactive, proven, and can ensure students will not be isolated or fall behind. In response, Voices Together has created a web and mobile application, talking songs, that will offer voicss (registered trademark) tools virtually.
Voicss (registered trademark) in education: school programs.participants focus on work readiness through language, social/emotional skills and self advocacy practice. Our evidence-based program model voicss (registered trademark) has helped students with special needs, learning difficulties and neurodiversity by addressing critical communication and social-emotional skills needs that enable them to become strong self-advocates, become independent adults and experience full community participation. The voicss model is recognized as an evidence-based and innovative music therapy and social/emotional behavioral model.
Voicss music therapy (vmt) institute:resources enabling individuals with neurodiversities to engage, learn, advocate, and access their world are currently scarce, although vital to their present and future well-being. The impact Voices Together can have on these children and adults will be greatly amplified if we are able to train others - beyond our own staff - in our voicss model. The vmt institute will offer professional trainings, accreditations, and continuing education units, based on our voicss model. Our expectations for the institute are two-fold: 1) to solidly establish ourselves as a training model in the field of special education, and 2) to position us as experts in the field, giving us an even stronger platform as a major recognized service provider, enabling us to impact the lives of even more individuals who can benefit from our programming.research: Voices Together previously collaborated with duke university on two research studies that provided preliminary evidence that the voicss model helps children with autism spectrum disorder develop communication and social-emotional skills. Based on the promise of these initial findings, voices Together is now pursuing further research to test the efficacy of the model with different and larger sample sizes and even more robust research methods in order to expand our evidence base and to strengthen Voices Together's reputation as an intervention provider.voicss in the community: community groups and individual therapygroup music therapy sessions are offered by our organization across the state in counties that we are serving. For children, teens and adults. Groups are created based on the ages, and goals of each client. Individual sessions are held in the clients home and are used to help transition into a group or to work on individualized goals.voicss in early interventionthanks to grants and generous donations Voices Together has been working on adapting it's model for very young children.
