Marketing & communications - positions San Antonio as the preferred leisure and meetings destination in Texas, as well as positions San Antonio as the premier destination for the regional, domestic and international leisure travel market. Our mission is to increase visitation and maintain awareness of San Antonio through strategically timed and placed promotions and/or programs. Marketing & communications also bring the region's media attention to San Antonio to inspire people to Visit. They also maximize and enhance the San Antonio visitor experience by providing accurate and helpful information on San Antonio, as well as Texas hill country attractions, tourism amenities, cultural sites, and events. Customer service at the highest level is a major focus at the visitor information center (vic), for the purpose of influencing extended stays, increased visitor spending, and promoting return visitation.
Riverwalk event operations - supports operations and creates events that help the riverwalk area thrive and maintain its status as the most visited site in the state of Texas.
Sales & experience - drives groups to hold meetings, conventions, and trade shows in San Antonio while strategically managing, and simplifying the sales process for our meeting planners, and partners while curating an authentic San Antonio experience. Also, to enhance and streamline the planning process for our meeting planners and supports operations and creates events that help the riverwalk area partners who are curating an authentic San Antonio experience.
Partner & community relations - to identify and develop communication, government relations, membership and member-value strategies to support the tourism and hospitality industry in San Antonio.
Administration - provides consulation, support and services for Visit San Antonio, and is responsible for preserving, enhancing and supporting the organization's financial, physical and human resources.
