From november 2018 through may 2019, we sailed our primary sailboat "lynx" to the bahamas. Our intent was to provide older youth with an opportunity to sail offshore the 750nm to the bahamas. While in the bahamas we organized opportunities for our sea scouts to fly to the bahamas and sail for a week (winter break and spring break). Our return sail from the bahamas was conducted with two sea scout youth and four sea scout adult leaders.

Throughout the summer of 2019 we provided the opportunity for younger youth to experience sailing by providing "day sails". As a pilot program we extended invitations to local churches that sponsor cub scout packs. The response was very positive and we already have over 10 cub scout packs waiting for the 2020 sailing season.

In august 2019 we conducted a "canoe camping trek" lasting 7 days and covering more than 50 miles. We had youth from inner city and urban areas that had never accomplished an extended "back country trek".
