The Virgil & Josephine Gordon Memorial Library's mission is to enhance the quality and scope of public Library service to the citizens of the city of sealy and the surrounding area. The Library provides materials and services to help community residents obtain information meeting their personal, educational, and professional needs. Special emphasis is placed on supporting students at all academic levels and stimulating young children's interests and appreciation for reading and learning.popular services include internet access, wifi hotspots, copiers, and fax machines. All austin county residents are entitled to a free Library card. Proof of residency (driver's license or utility bill) is required. Non-residents may obtain a Library card for a fee of $20 per annum. Any teacher employed by the local school district but not a resident of austin county may also obtain a free Library card.the Library also provides access to ebooks through simplye.
