Violence Interrupters NFP

Violence Interrupters, NFP, is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation established June 2 2021. Violence Interrupters, NFP focuses on high level gang mediation and stopping retaliations. The organization's staff are individuals who have overcome the challenges and stigma of reentering society and the workforce, and are uniquely skilled and suited as role models and support system for other ex-offenders and high-risk young men and women. Violence Interrupters employs and trains individuals with past positions of leadership in gangs to use their influence to prevent retaliations and create peace between gangs and to reduce incidences of community violence in their communities.
