Program areas at Vero Beach Museum of Art
Exhibitions & collections - the Museum provides cultural enrichment for the public through temporary Art exhibitions, exploration in the humanities, professional studio and classroom instruction for all ages, and a permanent Art collection. New programs, supported by marketing strategies to reach new audiences are created to encourage increased participation. Exhibitions presented during 2021-2022 included: a tribute to christo & jeanne-claude: the tom golden collection(attendance 2,292); american perspectives stories from the american folk Art Museum (attendance 3,666); Vero collects: hidden treasures revealed (attendance 13,635); schumann gallery selections from the permanent Art collection (attendance 5,520); stark gallery permanent collection, vbma glass works (attendance 2,009); martin puryear: printmaker (attendance 9,165); beckwith sculpture park selections from the permanent collection sculptures (attendance 5,576)
Education - the Museum offers various educational activities and events to the general public, including Art classes, film appreciation classes, lectures and seminars, programs, workshops, and reference library. During the year several classes and workshops were held, as well as a summer Art camp, with total enrollment/attendance of 1,398. In addition, lectures, seminars, opera studies, and film series were held, with total attendance of 2,593. During the year various school programs, adult public programs, and community partnership outreach programs were held with a total attendance of 10,866 participants. Various youth and family programs were held which included holiday @ Museum, children's Art fest, kidz artshops, and tours with total attendance of 9,538.
