Program areas at Vermont Adult Learning

Basic skills - provide education services throughout the state of Vermont that include classes and individual tutoring in reading, writing, math, and english for speakers of other languages; family literacy programs and customized training for employers. Provide ged preparation and testing services. 703 individuals served.

Workplace readiness formerly creative workforce solutions - is a statewide program that assists vermonters to develop the skills, attitudes, and behaviors essential for entering the work environment and maintaining employment. 527 students served.

High school completion - is a program introduced in fy2007 and allows 16-21 year olds who have dropped out of high school or are at-risk of dropping out, the opportunity to obtain their high school diploma after completion of a customized individual student graduation plan in collaboration with their high school. 553 students served. Total number of service hours 23,591.
