Section 330 grant from the us department of health and human services to operate a community health center with fqhc benefits. The center's main focus is to provide comprehensive primary health, dental, behavioral health and other physical, social and enabling services that contribute to the overall wellness of the patient and improved health of the community. The center provides these services to all persons regardless of their ability to pay. Fees for services are based upon a community board approved sliding-fee scale that uses the patient's family income and size as determining factors. The center also sees insured patients and bills medicare, medicaid and all other third-party payors for patients who have such benefits. Profits generated by this program are used to fund other services offered by the center and to maintain and improve buildings and equipment.
The migrant health voucher program, one of only 15 active voucher programs, provides a full range of high quality, culturally sensitive healthcare services, including primary Care, dental, x-ray, lab, pharmacy and behavioral health, to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families. The migrant health voucher program is community-based, comprehensive prmary health Care that focuuses on elimating barriers to health Care while increasing access by tradition outreach, disease prevention and patient education activities. Principal emloyment for both migrant and seasonal farmworkers must be agriculture.
Women, infant and child Care program provides nutrition assistance to low income, women, children and expectant mothers.
