Program areas at UUFaithActionNJ
EDUCATE -Through the efforts of five social justice task forces supported by UUFaithActionNJ staff we inform our supporters and partners of key pending legislation regulatory actions and related activities pertaining to the focus areas of the five Task forces: Criminal Justice Reform Environmental Justice Immigration Reform Reproductive Justice and Reparative Justice. Specific communication tools include the UUFANJ.org web site social media email Action alerts state-wide conferences as well as face to face and ZOOM meetings.
ADVOCACY - UUFaithActionNJ staff and Task Force Volunteers regularly provide testimony at legislative hearings and file amicus briefs in matters pertaining to the focus of the 5 UUFaithActionNJ Task Forces
MOBILIZE - Using the communication tools identified above as well as direct appeals and calls to action our supporters and partners write letters and make phone calls to elected and other governmental officials attend rallies in coordination with our partners in matters pertaining to the focus areas of the five Task forces
