Member services Utah Nonprofits Association is the advocate, voice, and champion of every nonprofit in the state of Utah. Our work sustains and fortifies nonprofit organizations, regardless of 501(c) designation, cause, budget size, or geographic area. Since its incorporation in 1990, una has championed and equipped thousands of Nonprofits with capacity-building training, formal credentialing, cost-saving benefits, resources, support, and community. Annual conference the september 27-29 event reached or exceeded its objectives by welcoming 529 attendees from 104 organizations, with three keynotes, 15 breakouts, an exhibitor hall, and engagement opportunities, all provided virtually. Attendees started 93 discussions, posted 1,279 messages, scheduled 21 meetups, sent 1,869 messages, and submitted 188 questions on the conference app. The conference also generated 573 leads for sponsors and exhibitors. 82.6% of survey respondents said the conference exceeded or met their expectations.
Credential program in 2022, una delivered nine credential courses across 18 days of training and nearly 100 hours of individualized consultation. Subject matter experts worked closely with the una team and participants to deliver comprehensive and practical courses, each featuring diversity, equity, and inclusion (dei) frameworks and strategies. Over the course of the year, 115 different organizations participated in the una credential, with 47 organizations attending two or more credential courses, and 27 organizations earned a credential badge.
Other program services una advocates for Nonprofits on both the state and federal levels of government and supports Utah's Nonprofits' advocacy work with technical training and resources. In 2022, una convened 52 nonprofit professionals from across Utah for a virtual nonprofit day on the hill which included four sessions across four days to create conversations, relationships, and, most importantly, results. In addition to advocacy and its other core training programs, una provided 35 ad-hoc training and networking opportunities aimed to empower nonprofit professionals and enhance the impact of the nonprofit sector as a whole.
