Program areas at Utah Afterschool Network
Preparing a child for the future does not end when the school bell rings, which is why the Utah Afterschool Network (uan) ensures children throughout Utah have access to high quality Afterschool programs to keep them engaged, learning, and safe. During the 2022 fiscal year, the Utah Afterschool Network supported 193 Afterschool programs throughout the state of Utah, impacting over 25,000 youth who were served by 1,150 Afterschool program staff. Program technical assistance and support included 555 program contacts that included coaching, establishing goals and action plans, consultation, and resource sharing. Uan provided 104 program quality observations, and 46 individual trainings for Afterschool programs. Of programs receiving uan support, 63% improved in overall quality from the beginning to the end of the school year and 73% were rated as very high quality. According to data collected in the Utah Afterschool Network's annual program impact survey, 94% of Afterschool providers who received support from the Utah Afterschool Network felt support helped improve their overal program quality. Uan hosted five professional learning events which were attended by 1,038 Afterschool providers from over 300 Afterschool programs.
