Moncrief Cancer Institute's breast and cervical Cancer screening program offers mammograms, clinical breast exams, and pap/hpv co-tests to underserved/uninsured women. The program ensures patients with limited access can obtain the recommended screening. Through our comprehensive patient navigation process, patients with positive findings are navigated to obtain further studies and therapeutic options should they be required. In the past year, the program provided over 8,200 breast Cancer screenings and diagnostics and 1,500 cervical Cancer screenings and diagnostics.
Moncrief Cancer Institute's colorectal Cancer screening program is available at no cost for individuals who are underserved/uninsured and meet the clinical eligibility requirements. Patients are mailed an at-home colon Cancer screening test. Patients with positive findings are navigated to obtain a colonoscopy. Moncrief partners with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers in more than 20 counties across north Texas to perform diagnostic colonoscopies. Over the past year, more than 5,000 patients completed at-home colon Cancer screening tests, and over 170 patients had colonoscopies completed.
Moncrief Cancer Institute's survivorship and support services has provided a wide range of services to Cancer patients and survivors over the past six years. The program includes fertility preservation, genetic counseling, nutrition planning, cooking classes to promote healing and wellness, one-on-one and group exercise sessions, and psychologists and social workers to assist with emotional and financial challenges. Moncrief Cancer Institute also has a program designed for adolescents and young adults dealing with Cancer.
Moncrief's 18-wheeler mobile screening clinic provides breast, cervical, and prostate Cancer screenings to the rural underserved population. Moncrief partners with over 150 hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers in more than 60 counties in north Texas and central Texas to deliver screening services.
Moncrief Cancer Institute's lung Cancer screening program provides services for current and former smokers who are underserved/uninsured and meet the eligibility requirements. Patients receive an annual low-dose ct scan at one of our five partner screening sites. Patients with positive findings are navigated to recommended follow-up. Over the past year, the program provided more than 700 screenings and over 135 follow-up and diagnostic services.
Moncrief Cancer Institute's prostate Cancer screening program offers a psa blood test to underserved/uninsured men in tarrant county. The program ensures patients with limited access can obtain the recommended screening. Through our comprehensive patient navigation process, patients with positive findings are navigated to obtain further studies and therapeutic options should they be required. In the first three months of the program, 32 individuals were screened for prostate Cancer.
