Program areas at University of Nevada-Reno Foundation
University Programs: The University of Nevada Reno Foundation receives, manages & disburses funds in accordance with the designated restricted purpose for which the gifts were donated. Provides programmatic funding supporting students, faculty, research & the community in the area funds were raised for. There were 1,218 endowed funds in FY24. Part of the increase relates to the additional facilities and program assets received from Sierra Nevada University.
University Scholarships: Scholarship funding was used for both need and merit based scholarships. More than 3,702 donor-funded scholarships were awarded in FY24.
Capital Projects: Assist in funding construction projects on campus. Some of the major projects include the Eric & Linda Lannes Basketball facility, Gateway Academic Building, Pennington Health Sciences Building and the University of Arts Building.
Alumni Programs: Funding was provided to Alumni Association and various alumni chapters to strengthen ties to the University community.
