Program areas at Unity Recovery Services
Worked with greater shawano area Recovery initiative (gsari) to plan and implement a women's sober living development project in city of shawano. At the same time, contracted with a gsari stakeholder to open and operate northwoods Recovery center in shawano - a community center that serves the shawano area's Recovery community. At the end of 2023, the shawano Recovery center and sober living house was transferred and is being operated under separate ownership. During 2023, added the operation of the oconto Recovery center.
Operated the shines house men's sober living program in wautoma. This is a partnership between Unity Recovery Services, the thedacare health care system, and the community foundation of central Wisconsin. Additional funding was received from the waushara county human Services to support the program.
Engaged with the menominee indian tribe of Wisconsin (mitw) to propose implementation of a rapid response team that would use individuals with lived Recovery experience to respond to substance use challenges on tribal lands.
