Donor and grant dollars are used to help create a better community by supporting programs that focus on education, health, and financial stability. United Way works closely with human service agencies that align with these focus areas. United Way of Dekalb County partners with singlecare (formerly familywize) to provide prescription discounts to Dekalb County residents. During the 2024 day of caring, 69 service projects were completed with the help of approximately 898 volunteers. The United Way of Dekalb County hosts the power of the purse fundraiser once a year to raise money for community impact grants focused on women and children.
