United Way of Chester County

United Way of Chester County's agency relations & community development plays a vital role in fostering collaborations with local nonprofits, allocating funds wisely, building the capacity of agencies, and driving community initiatives to create a better future for the residents of Chester County. Below is a brief overview of our impact from last fiscal year: invested 2,520,806 in our community through grants to agencies, special initiative funding and donor designations; prepared 2,782 tax returns through the volunteer tax assistance program (vita) generating an economic impact of over 5 million; completed 89 successful mobile home tax reassessment appeals, pushing the total assessments to 992 and saving mobile homeowners 9 million dollars over a 10 year period; funded the purchase of 5 ekg machines for aidan's heart foundation, and became their new home for their heart heroes training program; provided financial coaching, counseling, or other supportive services from our financial stability center.

United Way of Chester County's community engagement initiatives are designed to foster a sense of community involvement, raise awareness about local challenges, mobilize volunteers, and collaborate with various stakeholders to create a stronger, more resilient community for all its residents. Below is a brief overview of our impact from last fiscal year: collected 55 units of blood through our quarterly blood drives; raised 265,000 for our community impact & innovation fund through special events; offered our community building at no cost to 23 nonprofit organizations, saving them an estimated total of 20,587.
