Consumer Protection and Public Health - For more than 40 years,U.S.PIRG has been educating consumers on how to protect themselves and their rights. We conduct independent testing and research to expose hazards in everyday products. Our team of advocates help to craft legislation, provide critical information and expert testimony to fight rollbacks of our consumer and public health protections.
New Economy Program, Promoting Zero Waste, Transforming Transportation - Through advocacy, public education, research, grassroots organizing and policy development we're working to tackle concrete problems that will put us on a path to a better future. We've successfully advocated for changes that have resulted in reducing the use of single use plastic, worked to give consumers the right to repair their own devices and promoted cleaner transportation options.
