Juneteenth african american heritage celebration an annual celebration of african american heritage commemorating the emancipation of slaves in the united states of america, celebrating the freedom and accomplishments of the community and encouraging self-development and respect for all cultures. Approx 2500 attendees, 20+ volunteers, 60+ sponsors
Special projects -tobacco/e-cigarette education & cessation workshops -quickbooks/financial workshop
African american history in St. Mary's county -archiving, maintaining, and augmenting historical records of african american Contributions, histories, stories in St. Mary's co. -various workshops, seminars, lectures, and performances to share information, gather oral histories, and train volunteers to gather histories and catalog information, etc -community outreach via participation in other local charitable and community organizations, charitable giving, etc.
