Its Future Leaders Academy (FLA) is a year-long program that equips low-income, first-generation Latino high school students and their families in Sarasota and Manatee with tools to build a post-secondary path. Program areas at UnidosNow

Future leaders academy (fla) is a year-long program offered primarily to low-income, first-generation latinx high school students and their families in sarasota and manatee counties to provide them with the tools necessary to build a secondary path and develop leadership skills. This program includes an introduction to postsecondary options such as technical and vocational colleges, community colleges, and 4+ year universities; college selection; career exploration; career panels; resume building; act/sat preparation; interviewing skills; and financial aid, including fafsa and scholarship applications. Each student is paired with a mentor and a college coach, who, supported, trained, and supervised by the program director, guide the student along their journey to postsecondary education.
Parent leadership program (pl) provides a space for parents in sarasota and manatee counties to develop life skills, learn about community resources, participate in activities related to art, culture, and sciences, and learn together how the education system works in the united states to support their children's education. Parent ambassadors take on leadership roles and actively participate in outreach efforts to provide education, information, and support in their own neighborhoods on areas related to education, health, and community resources. They encourage other parents to explore professional growth opportunities, hone job skills, and become active, integrated, and contributing members of the community.

Future leaders academy for elementary school students and their parents (flag )is a year-round program offered in sarasota and manatee counties to empower 3rd to 5th-grade students to discoverearly on their areas of interest. Students benefit from career exploration, college tours, exposure to arts and sciences, and receive training and support to learn coding and robotics. Students develop skills like teamwork, perseverance, and leadership while exploring diverse fields, with emphasis on s.t.e.m. Using a multigenerational model, the program engages both students and their families through a comprehensive, age-appropriate, and culturally and linguistically relevant framework.
Future leaders academy for middle school students (flam) empowers students and their parents with the tools, resources, and skills to successfully transition to high school. Through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and college tours, students and their families learn about the importance of taking rigorous classes in high school, being involved in extracurricular activities, taking on leadership roles, and volunteering in the community. Additionally, students learn about the various post-secondary paths, including technical colleges, community colleges, and 4+ year public and private universities.
College completion provides students with support and resources during their transition to college and beyond. This program includes mentorship, workshops on life skills and career exploration, assistance with financial aid and internship/job opportunities, and the development of an alumni network. The program is carefully designed to assist primarily first-generation, low-income students so they can complete their post-secondary education and graduate within a reasonable amount of time, with minimal or no debt.
Formerly known as high school clubs, leadnow is Unidosnow's new high school student engagement program, based out of high schools in sarasota and manatee, whose main goal is to promote a culture of postsecondary planning and college readiness. With support from the Unidosnow team and school staff, this program provides students with an opportunity to take on leadership roles, create peer-to-peer connections, and increase the reach of Unidosnow's programs across high schools. Students select a college and career readiness topic of their choice and design a variety of projects throughout the school year to raise awareness about the postsecondary options available and to encourage students to dream big and plan for their future.
Digital navigator program aims at bridging the digital divide by providing low-income latinos with basic computer training sessions and guidance to find affordable internet services. The digital navigators are trained Unidosnow's staff, students, alumni, and parents who meet one-on-one or in groups to support the community at large.
