Conscious Kitchen: Conscious Kitchen addresses food equity, education, and access by shifting the paradigm around school food service, while cultivating a local, ecological food system, and building nutrition literacy into meals. CK created the first organic school district in the country shortly after launching in 2013, which thrives to this day. In the face of the Coronavirus crisis, our Conscious Kitchens operated as hubs for community resiliency with the teams, equipment, supply chains and structure to provide healthy meals for childrenand families facing unprecedented challenges, while directly supporting staff, organic farmers, food purveyors, small businesses and more.
Turning Green spent informs, inspires and mobilizes emerging leaders focused on climate justice, environmental sustainability and public health. Driven by student leaders with purpose and passion, our non-profit is building a global movement to cultivate a healthy, just, resilient future through education, advocacy and climate action.
