Program areas at True Colors Fund

TRAINING & EDUCATION: the true colors fund facilitates cross-sector collaboration with communities and creates sustainable community-based solutions and plans to prevent and address YOUTH AND LGBTQ youth homelessness. in addition, through an array of free resources, tools, and technical assistance, we also work to expand the number of providers across the country that offer inclusive and affirming services for all youth experiencing homelessness.(SEE SCHEDULE O)

Advocacy: the true colors fund works in washington D.C. and state capitals around the country to give LGBTq youth experiencing homelessness a voice in government and to ensure strong public policy is in place so that vital social services are properly funded and LGBTq youth are protected.(SEE SCHEDULE O)

Youth Collaboration: the true colors fund works to develop the leadership and advocacy skills of lgbtq youth who have experienced homelessness so they can both inform our work and play an active role in being part of the solution to prevent and end youth homelessness in their communities and America. We seek to broaden the scope of possibility for these youth, enabling them to imagine a future full of opportunities. Projects include the true colors fellowship and the national youth forum on homelessness.
