Program areas at NYSMTA
Regional programs: each region holds education meetings for the Association members peridocially throughout the year.
Truck driving championships: 2-day safety event for commerical Truck drivers. Drivers are required to take a written exam which tests their knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Trucking industry. They are also required to conduct a pre-trip inspection of their vehicle and participate in a driving test. Winners go on to compete at a national event.
Truck safety & educational conference: 2-day event provides attendees with updates on rules and regulations that they must comply with. Attendees also received safety related information through educational sessions.
The Association represents the interests of the Motor Truck industry (common/contract carriers, private carriers, government agency fleets, manufacturers, dealers, Truck driving schools and suppliers) serving the economy of New York State.
