Trees of Hope was founded in 1990 as a non-profit organization with the specific purpose to conduct fundraising activities for the exclusive benefit of the children that reside at Star of Hope Mission, Houston's largest agency for the homeless. The annual gift from Trees of Hope is the largest single gift Star of Hope receives for their Children's programs.
Trees of Hope also supports the children's programs at Star of Hope. Financial support through the Children's Critical Care Fund and other programs are dedicated to the children and mothers residing at the facility. Supported programs include: Back to School Shoes, Moms Matter Mother's Day, and a Toy Store.
