Transition Sarasota develops community-based solutions for the local food system. It organizes an annual collection of more than a dozen events that showcase local organizations and businesses related to local food, partnering with others, organizing some events and publicizing them. It also annually partners with local government to organize Sustainable Communities Workshop, a 1-day program of speakers and sessions that brings together several hundred people from local businesses, organizations, and individual citizens focused on sustainability.
