Program areas at Trails and Open Space Coalition

In 2022, responding to ongoing increased usage on our trails and in our parks and open spaces, we continued to train volunteer trail ambassadors to provide user information on our busiest trails in an effort to provide safety information and protect the resource. Our "Get Out Get Healty", assisted medical providers who passed informative pamphlets along to clients in english and spanish. We also led regular walks to serve providers and clients. We continue to advocate for improved signage along the sand creek trail. Progress on out ring the peak trail initiative continues to be stymied by the USFS. But, we did secure lart dollars to improve a portion of the ring the peak trail to the top of pancake rocks. We widely shared parks related videos about tops in preparation for the April 2023 tops ballot initiative.
