SPECIAL NEEDS FITNESS, CHILDCARE, RECREATIONAL & COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS, CHEER & BABY CLASSES, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, & OPEN GYMS CHILDCARE - AFTER-SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAMS Fitness supports exercise and movement. It is the best natural drug that a child can ever use for feeling good. Through teaching the importance of daily activity and encouragement, children are on the right path to becoming healthier and confident. Continued on Schedule O...SOAR (Students of All Abilities Respected) is an afterschool program. Enrollments are up to 50 children receiving no less than 60 minutes of physical activity in addition to a healthy snack and/or meals in these programs. Emphasis is on movement, education-based activities. No Bummer Summer is a weekly and themed camp throughout the summer. Fifty participants experience an array of activities to challenge them mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally; with the end goal of building character, increasing confidence, and engaging in a healthy lifestyle to include activities throughout our community. School's Out Day Camp is open to 50 campers to participate in TNT's engaging fitness programs when there is a day off during the school year. We inspire, educate, and keep each child active which markets to exposing children to other year-round programs to keeping each child active and productive in movement. PRESCHOOL, MOBILE, & SCHOOL AGE RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS & FITNESS & BABY CLASSES Preschool, Mobile, and School Age gymnastics, Ninja fitness & Baby classes all fall in line with unlocking potential through movement. These classes are designed to be progressive through exercise and physical activity, children can meet their full potential while participating in these progressive programs. Encouraging children while being a positive influence drives our entire staff to help make a difference in children's lives. Over 600 Preschool age children comprise the population in this program. Preschool Mobile serves 30+ children weekly and provides the same instruction, except offsite. Gymnastics is the foundation of human movement, and the benefits are extraordinary. School Age gymnastics serves 360+ school age boys and girls who safely learn fundamental skills and progressions on traditional gymnastics equipment. Students advance through levels achieved with skill mastery. Ninja Fitness classes can test every individual's skill in the craze that's sweeping the nation, as they unlock their ninja potential! Children use obstacles and circuit based activities to increase endurance, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination while building confidence. Children are challenged by scaling the rock wall, navigating the ninja obstacle course, and attempting to conquer TNT's very own warped wall! 150 children participate on a weekly basis. Baby classes center on getting the benefits of movement into the hands of parents. With support from Essentia Health, we associate the baby's developmental age milestone with the movement-based curriculum. This program is the introduction to a seamless relationship with fitness movement and mentoring positive parent interaction as the child progresses all the way to age 5 and beyond. BIRTHDAY PARTIES & OPEN GYMS Birthday Parties: Having a birthday is the most special time in a child's life. Over 50 parties are celebrated throughout the year! TNT birthday parties are memorable experiences. The 1.5 hours include a fun-filled setting that aligns with our mission--keeping children active! Multiple activity stations make up the hour-long party that introduces and markets our gymnastics and fitness classes. Open Gyms: Open gym time provides program exposure for children which aligns with our mission to keep all children of all abilities active. Open gyms are offered for both preschool and school-age children. Preschool open gyms focus on exploratory movements that are guided by their parent/guardians. School-age open gyms consist of structured movement-based activities, designed, and taught by TNT. These promote volunteer opportunities for multiple businesses to sponsor, and a service-learning opportunity for area colleges to volunteer to fulfill their service hours. Open gyms promote collaboration with other agencies in the community by opening their doors for their participants to come to TNT as another alternative for fitness-based programs. Open gyms introduce and market our gymnastics and fitness classes. COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS & CHEER PROGRAMS Competitive gymnastics and cheer programs are governed by USAG and USASF organizations serve 230 athletes. USA Junior Olympic Boys, Girls, and Xcel Team gymnastics and Cheer programs have collectively increased. USA Team athletes strive for excellence at TNT in the sport of gymnastics while achieving life-long healthy habits, time management skills, perseverance, and total well-being skills. Teams are a year-round program. The Cheer Program serves all skill levels and abilities. Each program recruits its athletes from the preschool and school age programs, which form the foundation for the developmental levels of the sport. All athletes are encouraged and coached to improve their individual skill level throughout the year. Gymnastics is the only sport that works the total body including strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and aerobic development that travels with you for a lifetime. Statistics show us a healthier lifestyle is important--now more than ever.ADULT FITNESS, SPECIAL NEEDS, & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ADULT FITNESS United States Military Veterans Fitness Club (USMVFC) adds another layer of impact for serving veterans in a fitness setting. The number of veterans continues to rise in the Red River Valley, and TNT is honored to serve those who have served our country. The USMVFC gives veterans an opportunity to work out in a controlled environment alongside other veterans that create a natural bond of brotherhood. The program partnership with the Brady Oberg Legacy Foundation allows for scholarship opportunities and an opportunity to expand awareness to increase its membership. On 8/31/2022, the USMVFC was discontinued as a TNT program and all veterans transitioned to a similar program located at another partnering gym. This transition was great for all veterans and provided them with an environment that could foster growth beyond TNT's capacity. Parkinson's Performance Boxing program is supported by the Marv Bossart Foundation for Parkinson's Support, which is managed by Dakota Medical Foundation. This program gives individuals diagnosed with the disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. Parkinson's causes a loss in many of the same elements that boxer's condition to improve. Among them are balance, muscular endurance, footwork, and hand-eye coordination. Published medical research has shown that forced, intense exercise can reduce, reverse, and delay Parkinson's symptoms! This program is an onsite and offsite program serving in assisted living facilities. No Limits Fitness, an adult program, collaborates with multiple agencies to allow its clients and providers an opportunity to be physically active on a weekly basis. A population that continues to be underserved in our community includes adults of all ages with special needs. The special needs population in our communities continue to struggle to identify opportunities that provide for growth, learning, physical activity, and social integration in an environment that recognizes their uniqueness. TNT's adult fitness experience offers a great opportunity for these individuals to enjoy an active lifestyle. SPECIAL NEEDS The Special Needs program is a fitness program adapted for children so all individuals of all abilities can be active. The program also serves over 36 schools utilizing the TNT facility on a weekly basis. The program's success is supported by each partner making an investment. TNT donates to their facility, school districts support by bussing their children, and United Way partially funds a program professional. Children with multiple physical, cognitive, emotional, and social barriers now have physical activity outlets to serve their needs. TNT also provides inclusive settings for children with special needs in their everyday programming. With all programs at TNT, children with special needs are integrated into programs where the curriculum is modified; care providers assist them, or the children participate on their own. One-on-ones and small group type settings are available making TNT an organization that helps individuals "unlock their potential". TNT has multiple partnerships - NDSU, MSUM, Concordia, University of Mary Occupational Therapy, and the University of Jamestown (ND) Physical Therapy program.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS, SPONSORSHIPS, & OPERATIONSFundraising events and Sponsorships are the backbone to Program operations. This area of TNT covers administrative, facility, marketing operational needs, undesignated donations, grants, pro-shop retail, TNT building lessees/partners, mini campaigns, and fundraising events. TNT has four annual fundraising events: TNT's Winter Challenge which is a Women's USA Gymnastics/Xcel programs where its athletes compete with gymnastics clubs around the tri-state area MN, SD, and ND. This event supports the competitive program. Giving Hearts Day, a 24-hour on-line fundraising event where community partners, team members and families come to support this event to raise dollars for a specific program or a designated piece of equipment to support all programs. Funds raised through Giving Hearts Day in 2022 supported the purchase of brand-new foam blocks that fill our landing pits. These ensure the safety of the athlete while they practice and progress skill development. TNT Gala, an annual fundraiser supported by NFL and Fargo Native Connor McGovern. The event hosts special NFL and CrossFit elite athletes to raise significant funds that support the development of the ABLE in School. ABLE in School is a movement-based vocational fitness curriculum created to integrate in K-12 Physical Education classes across ND, MN, and nation-wide. Its purpose is to support a school to work pathway for individuals with special needs. It maintains mobility as students grow and develop, teaches social and emotional skills, and provides peer-to-peer engagement. The event has prizes, live auction, and bid for a cause to promote and support TNT's mission "Unlocking Potential Through Movement". ABLE Games, an annual competition that celebrates all abilities competing side-by-side, one competition floor, and removing barriers of true 'ability'. This competition originated in 2021 which provided the vision for ABLE in School. Public School educators realized how this competition could impact inclusion during their school day in physical education class. It's a school to work initiative to assist students with the necessary skills as they prepare for Choice Ready decisions after their school years. The awareness of this competition is bringing light to local businesses, volunteers, sponsors to importance by including individuals with disabilities. In 2022, over 200 athletes competed, from high school ages to adults in their 70's. There are several divisions that provide a broad array of abilities to include everyone. From the highly skilled elite athlete competing side by side with individuals with disabilities, this is a true and rare picture of inclusion and the impact t can make in communities. This area of TNT's operation is growing and markets to generate other streams of income that do not conflict with other TNT programming but enhances our vision and mission by reaching out to the community. TNT created annual sponsorships to support each fundraising event and an annual Break the Barriers Partners. TNT's event sponsors and 'Break the Barriers' Partner Program is composed of thriving businesses in our community. Their gracious investments directly impact programs to continue to provide opportunities for children and individuals of all abilities to unlock their potential through movement. In 2014, TNT Kid's Fitness initiated a capital campaign to expand space. This space allowed TNT to reach capacity by serving over 2,000 individuals weekly, 16 programs, 51 collaborations and onsite partners, the Anne Carlsen Center and Learn 'n Move childcare. The expansion focused on programs and services for children and adults with special needs thus impacting an under-served population that is desperately wanting more opportunities.Through the years TNT has received achievements which include 2015 Chamber Choice Non-Profit of the Year, 2015 Women of the Year in the category of Advocating for Equality and 2017, 2018, 2019 Top 4 Fundraiser in Giving Hearts Day event, 2020 and 2021 "Locals Love Us" in the category of Best in Tumbling and Gymnastics. 2022 Chamber People's Choice Award.
