Program areas at Tipton County Farm Bureau
Public policy programs in order to protect & promote the agriculture industry the Tipton co Farm Bureau through its structure of volunteer leaders supports public policy efforts at the local, state & national level. This is accomplished through both legislative & regulatory monitoring communications with members & public awareness programs about farming & rural life & provide information about the agriculture industry. Volunteer board members participate in the sponsorship of meet the candidate activities & yearly policy meetings with their legislators to educate them about ag policy & how the industry is impacted by lawmakers.
Youth leadership activities Tipton County Farm Bureau supports youth agriculture organizations both financially and with volunteer hours. The organization is a primary sponsor of the Tipton County 4-h organization as well as the Tipton co ffa organization. The Tipton co fb also gives scholarship money to senior students who plan on majoring in agriculture. The Tipton co fb has a very active young farmers & ranchers group where young farmers and ranchers can hone their leadership skills that will help them become leaders of the future for agriculture.
Agriculture leadership activities the Tipton County Farm Bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.
