Program areas at Thrive
The Design Mentorship Program: Recent art and design college graduates work at Central High School within the EAST and Art classrooms providing support to teachers and mentorship to students while working with community members on local designs. Projects have included designing historic trails to generate tourism traffic; designing a VR tour of historic Helena landmarks; and designing a pop-up prom shop enabling students to access prom.
The Design Apprenticeship Program: Working out of the 12,000 square ft creative workshop and office space on Ohio Street, Thrive staff collaborate with students from different educational communities to improve the community and learn creative industry basics. Currently students are making social media promotional videos for the Helena Adventure Company - a project of Thrive to attract outdoor adventure tourism to the area.
Rural Graphic Design Services. Working in contract with community development organizations such as school districts, chambers of commerce and municipalities, Thrive provides affordable branding and marketing tools to rural stakeholders.
The Design After School Program Working in collaboration with the Warfield Concert series students work alongside Thrive Staff and Design Mentors on 1-week immersive projects that support the concert series. Projects developed include social media photo ops for visitors, and the design and creation of other visual aids created to enhance the experience of a Warfield visitor.
