Program areas at The Washington Bus
Youth voter outreach: The Bus's youth voter outreach program engages thousands of young people online and in-person to encourage civic engagement in all forms (canvassing at community events, get-out-the-vote efforts, etc.) Including new and first-time voters and volunteers. The Bus partners with other youth-focused organizations to ensure that young people know where to go for resources and information about our political system.
Endorsements: The Bus endorsed candidates and ballot measures which meet organizational endorsement criteria.
Legislative advocacy: The Bus provides young people opportunities to understand how legislation is created and passed and engage in policy advocacy for issues that impact young people's everyday lives. Legislative interns support our outreach efforts to other peers in their college campuses.
