Program areas at Victor Museum Improvement Association

With the gates family foundation, we were able to restore and revamp the lowell thomas room. This included repair to the walls, ceiling and floors as well as the electrical service updated. New wallpaper was installed, new drapes were hung and a newly acquired antique chandelier was installed. We purchased acid free boxes and file folders and spent much of the winter re-filing and re-boxing archives into archival containers for better preservation. Photos have been scanned and photographs taken to create a record of objects that are not on display. New bookshelves were added to our archive room. Other maintenance and repair included painting exterior trim and some interior walls and replacing track lighting in the downstairs rooms. We hosted a cemetery preservation workshop at our local Victor cemetery. There was a 65 years of operations celebration in june of 2024
