Program areas at The Victim Center
Prevention education programs to children, adolescents, and adults. Programs are provided in schools and in community and professional groups. Topics consist of personal safety, identifying safe adults, boundary setting, healthy relationships, by-stander intervention, identifying and reporting abuse, and other topics related to preventing violent or sexual crimes. The Victim Center provided 5,499 units of service to 2,714 individuals.
Free of charge services to children (and their non-offending parents/guardians) who have survived a violent or sexual crime. Services consist of 24-hour crisis response, individual and group trauma therapy, parent education, personal advocacy, and court support. The Victim Center provided 9,510.56 units of service to 623 children.
