Although contributing members will have no voting rights, they may provide input to The board of trustees of The organization as to (i) areas of need in San Diego county and its neighboring communities and (ii) appropriate charitable recipients of grants and gifts from The organization. In this way, The organization will introduce women in San Diego county to philanthropy and cultivate their ability to participate in all parts of The charitable giving process. The assets of The San Diego Women's Foundation are held at The San Diego Foundation, The supported organization. As of june 30, 2022, The value of these assets was $5,234,239. The primary granting priority for fiscal year 2022 was food insecurity. A total of $235,000 was granted to 6 community partnership grantees (non-profits). An additional $40,000 was granted to 4 community partnership grantees as part of The San Diego Women's Foundation's collaboration efforts. Since its founding in 2000, The San Diego Women's Foundation has granted nearly $4.8 million to 131 community partner programs and built an endowment of $4.8 million. At The end of The fiscal year, The San Diego Women's Foundation membership included 202 women from across The San Diego county.
