Adult mental health and substance use - the providence center provided a broad continuum of person-centered, recovery-focused mental health and substance use services for adults to over 12,200 individuals in fiscal year 2018 that range from outpatient counseling services to intensive outpatient and partial hospital programs to residential placements. All services address the co-occurring mental health and substance use needs of clients. A range of intensive community-based services for individuals with serious mental illness stabilizes their conditions; reduces symptoms; helps them to locate safe, affordable housing; develop independent living skills; secure and maintain meaningful employment; identify education opportunities; and participate in community, therapeutic, social and recreational activities. Group homes offer residential services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness who need 24-hour supervision and assistance to perform daily living skills. Children and families - the providence center provided a broad continuum of child and family-centered services for over 2,900 children, adolescents and their families in fiscal year 2018. Individual, group and family counseling for all ages are available during the day and evening. The early childhood institute helps preschool children who have behavioral, social or emotional difficulties and/or delays to meet their individual developmental and psychological needs. Inclusive preschool and pre-kindergarten are also offered at imagine preschool. Partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs assist adolescents and teens in coping with emotional and behavioral issues, thereby avoiding hospitalization, placement out of homes or schools and serious problems in their social and family relationships.
