Program areas at The Preemptive Love Coalition
Jobs: Livelihoods empower displaced people living in post-conflict areas to reclaim their identities. We empower them to capitalize on their former skills or teach them new ones. We invest in one-to-one businesses to stabilize communities and train people in information technology, English, and soft skills to prepare them for the modern job market.
Community: We foster substantive dialogues across lines of differences with people around the world. We hold community events, educational workshops, webinars, and seminars and provide educational resources to promote peacemaking.
Relief: People living in conflict or economic devastation, people living in mobility, and people rebuilding their lives post-conflict share a striking similarity: Who they are now is not who they used to be. Conflict or poverty has robbed them of a sense of self as violence or displacement claims family members, professions, or whole communities. Building and nurturing local relationships allow us to meet the basic needs of people caught in crisis, conflict, or mobility. We provide food relief, clean water, blankets, and hygiene kits during emergencies. In the longer term, we set up clinics to provide medical care and improve sustainability efforts giving displaced people a safe place to regroup.
