The Point is a volunteer group of 35 women who are committed to assisting the women in their community. They raise funds through different fundraising events, members' contributions, donations and activities that are annually distributed to organizations on Johns Island. The organization also does community outreach and hosts Field to Fork in early spring, where local farmers and chefs offer meals to participants. Camp for a Cause supports a breast cancer initiative that helps women on James, Johns or Wadmalaw Islands.
