Over The last 8 years, The Peggie and Paul Shevlin Family Foundation (aka Shevlin Family Foundation) has assisted over 3,500 persons in The Delaware valley (in The last year all participants were from Delaware county). Since inception, Shevlin has offered almost 2,000 housing scholarships/first helps grants to those in early recovery from substance use disorder (sud). We envision a future where every person affected by sud is supported and empowered to thrive on their own personal journey of freedom, fulfillment, and sustained recovery
The Foundation offers a sober living program for men in long-term recovery. Men who have at least 2 years of consistent recovery may apply for a spot in our program, if and when one becomes available. The program provides a fully furnished bedroom in our location in chester, pa, access to 24/7 recovery support, and full run of The property (except for corporate offices) including: fully equipped kitchen, laundry, storage, grill and backyard etc. Living independently with other sober men provides community accountability as our residents build their recovery. Men must apply and be interviewed for The program.
