As new gmo technologies enter The market, The Non-Gmo standard remains The most meaningful and achievable way for suppliers, brands and retailers to show their commitment to providing consumers transparent choice in The marketplace.
Non-Gmo month - Non-Gmo month is an annual campaign in october that brings together retailers, manufacturers, and shoppers to celebrate consumers' rights to know what is in The food they eat. Grocery stores across The u.s. and canada take part in our annual Non-Gmo month, a 31 day celebration to educate The public and spotlight Non-Gmo Project verified choices on shelves.
Outreach & education - outreach and education are a key component of The Non-Gmo Project's mission. We educate The over 3,000 verified brands we work with so that they can inform retailers and shoppers about The importance of preserving and building The Non-Gmo food supply. Our research team actively monitors The biotech landscape and contributes to The education of our stakeholders. We also directly engage The public with curated content that is shared via our social media platforms (1 million facebook, 23k instagram, 140k twitter, 6k linkedin followers), newsletters, new gmo alerts, and online channels (www.nongmoproject.org). The Non-Gmo Project is an active participant in events across The u.s. and canada.
