The Nokomis Healthy Seniors Program served over 575 Seniors utilizing 100 individual volunteers who provided over 4,500 hours of volunteer service. The Program provided over 600 rides to dental and medical appointments for Seniors no longer able to drive themselves. Nokomis Healthy Seniors staff also provided nearly 5,000 health and wellness assessments such as blood pressure checks, foot care, and support groups. The Nokomis Healthy Seniors is a non-profit dedicated to helping Seniors live independently at home.

Program areas at The Nokomis Healthy Seniors Program

In 2022 we returned to in person services. Our client numbers started out slowly, but we have returned to pre- pandemic numbers for clients served. We have many new clients, often those who retired during The pandemic. We have increased The number of social activities we provide, due to The demand. Isolation was tough for almost all of our clients during The pandemic and have been very eager to rebuild community and connections.
