The Nokomis Healthy Seniors Program served over 575 Seniors utilizing 100 individual volunteers who provided over 4,500 hours of volunteer service. The Program provided over 600 rides to dental and medical appointments for Seniors no longer able to drive themselves. Nokomis Healthy Seniors staff also provided nearly 5,000 health and wellness assessments such as blood pressure checks, foot care, and support groups. The Nokomis Healthy Seniors is a non-profit dedicated to helping Seniors live independently at home.

In 2023 Nokomis Healthy Seniors increased The number of Seniors served for footcare tonearly 100. During covid we needed to stop foot care and then our foot care nurse retired dueto covid. We now have a new nurse we are working with who does mostly in home foot care.
2023 is a big milestone for Nokomis Healthy Seniors (nhs)! Nhs has been a trusted resourcefor older adults in The Nokomis area for 30 years, this year. By providing a variety of affordableprograms like social events and transportation, we've helped hundreds of our neighbors staysocially connected, and age in place safely and independently. We offer rides to medicalappointments and grocery shopping, one on one nursing visits, yoga and exercise classes,support groups, book club, art group, card group, monthly luncheons and social outings.together these activities support older adults maintain Healthy minds and bodies so they may maintain their independence.
