In 2023 Nokomis Healthy Seniors increased The number of Seniors served for footcare tonearly 100. During covid we needed to stop foot care and then our foot care nurse retired dueto covid. We now have a new nurse we are working with who does mostly in home foot care.
2023 is a big milestone for Nokomis Healthy Seniors (nhs)! Nhs has been a trusted resourcefor older adults in The Nokomis area for 30 years, this year. By providing a variety of affordableprograms like social events and transportation, we've helped hundreds of our neighbors staysocially connected, and age in place safely and independently. We offer rides to medicalappointments and grocery shopping, one on one nursing visits, yoga and exercise classes,support groups, book club, art group, card group, monthly luncheons and social outings.together these activities support older adults maintain Healthy minds and bodies so they may maintain their independence.
