These donations typically happen 2-3 times a year and are done in conjunction with public events To increase awareness of those living with Paralysis and To demonstrate that technology can significantly change someone's quality of life and level of mobility. Qualified applicants are given customized wheelchairs To meet their specific needs. Applicants must provide medical and financial need documentation. Two wheelchairs were provided during The current year.wheelchair challenge program: able bodied individuals are challenged To sit in a wheelchair for a day trying To do every day normal activities at their home or office as part of an awareness program To demonstrate and educate The public that Paralysis does not discriminate. The organization and The participants typically share their experiences via social and traditional media To further educate The general public on The challenges of living with a spinal cord injury.
