Description
The Maxfund provides medical care for injured pets with no known owners and finds new homes for these animals once they have recovered. Animals who are injured, abused, or abandoned are brought into the shelter where we provide medical and surgical care, as well as daily necessities such as food and warmth. Once healthy, we find them loving homes. Additionally, Maxfund administers a community-wide and state-wide spay/neuter program for low-income pet owners and travels to rural areas to administer these services at no charge. Program areas at The Maxfund

Shelter operations/adoptions: animals are brought into shelter, injured, abused, abandoned: we take care of their medical, surgical, all health issues and give them love and warmth, food and take care of their daily needs. When they are healthy enough then we find them new forever homes. In addition, we hold mobile adoptions at different sites, fairs, and festivals.
Outreach program: Maxfund administers a community-wide, and state-wide spay/neuter program for low-income pet owners, traveling The state of Colorado to rural areas to administer spay/neuter, vaccinations, and other minor services at no charge to people who cannot afford services.
Veterinary clinic: takes care of medical/surgical needs at The shelter, does all of our spays and neuters, and is open to The public to provide low-cost animal care. This benefits our community.
