Program areas at The Ketamine Research Foundation

Ketamine is the only legally available medicine with psychedelic therapeutic methodologies and practices that will serve as a model and development ground as other psychoactive medicines become available for clinical practice. This makes for streamlined and creative research, with appropriate safeguards with FDA and IRB approvals as appropriate. In 2023, KRF's research programs included our 5 sites, across the US, FDA approved protocol entitled Conscious Living/Conscious Dying for subjects aware they had a year or less to live and wished to explore their live views, choices and impending death utilizing ketamine psychotherapy specifically designed for this population. Our goal has been to humanize hospice and palliative care approaches to those who are dying. KRF published seminal articles in the academic press on ketamine assisted psychotherapy in general, and specifically as applied to adolescents. KRF amplified its leadership as the standard bearer for ethical and quality of care with ketamine.
KRF's Ketamine Training Center continued to provide the premier experiential training programs, moving internationally as well. The year concluded with over 900 trainees. KTC has also initiated new and original programs attending to the spiritual and emotional unity of ketamine work with our Dharma K workshops. The Black, Indigenous, People of Color ("BIPOC") Scholarship Fund continues to focus on diversity providing support for training for people of color. Our membership organization, the Ketamine Psychotherapy Associates, continues the support for development of KAP practices and education. We now have over one-hundred members receiving a variety of benefits.
