Junior League of the Mahoning Valley

the pink ribbon tea is an event put on by the Junior League of youngstown for the benefit of breast cancer survivors in the trumbull, Mahoning, and columbiana county areas. It is an inspiration and celebration of the survivors' many successes in their fight against breast cancer. Survivors attend the event free of charge and during the twenty-three year history of the event, there have been more than 8,000 participants.

Annual dinner is held in may of every League year to review events during the year and honor those who displayed outstanding service on behalf of the Junior leauge of youngstown.

the Junior League of youngstown was organized december 3, 1929 for the purpose of fostering the interest among its members in covial, economic, educational, cultural and civic conditions in youngstown and environment; to make efficent their coluntary services, and to raise and provide funds for the maintenance and furtherance of work for which the the corporation may make itself responsible. During the year, the organization had 16 active members and 187 sustaining members.
