The Jerome Bettis s.t.e.m.s program creates both economic and socially imperative programs to ensure youth in urban areas are equipped to engage in The stems sector at parity with their peers. The program helps to eliminate The barriers facing inner city youth who have The desire to enter stem professions, and help them to meet The projected demands for stem workers in our future workforce. The program broadens The economic opportunities of underrepresented communities.
The Jerome Bettis toy drive caring for kids program provides a safe and supportive enviornment for inner city underpriviledged youth, where they can grow and develop as thoughtful and caring citizens. The Foundation promotes self-esteem building programs, being responsible, and higher education initiatives that support a learning enviornment where employability is achieved.
The Jerome Bettis cyber Bus computer literacy and education program provides a safe learning, fun filled enviornment for underpriviledged, inner-city youth to develop technology skills that will bridge The digital divide for The entire family. This computer program requires parental involvement and a computer given to each youth after successful completion of The program. It is The belief that assisting youth to acquire valuable computer skills will enable them to become more competitive students, receive better grades, and open The door for more opportunities in today's workforce.
