Program areas at The Reach Center

Social welfare is a social institution to provide support, usually financial, in time of need. These needs are basic needs that everyone should have access to such as food, shelter, healthcare, and medication. 3033 initial calls completed for services and referrals. 241 families received emergency financial assistance for rent and/or utilities. 2514 provided food through our weekly food pantry and monthly food distribution. 38 families placeed in housing. 4023 resource referral calls completed.
Community development programs address The issue of quality of life in our city and surronding area. These progams include family violence prevention and spiritual formation programs. Family violence prevention programs exist to help break The cycle of violence in our communities and promote healthy families by raising awareness around such issues as domestic violence and human trafficking. 27 referrals made to domestic violence shelters and counseling programs. Provided 1 individual assistance with utilities.
Our economic sustainability programs focus on eliminating barriers to financial stability while encouraging self-sufficiency and social responsibility. Individuals are assisted with career and/or educational counseling, financial stewardship, and employment support. 55 individuals assisted with education and career counseling.
